Helping Deliver the Future of Energy

A vital challenge in Mississippi — and across our country — is maintaining an accessible and affordable supply of energy while reducing its environmental impact. ExxonMobil is playing a leading role in addressing this challenge by maximizing the production of current sources of energy and spearheading lower-carbon technologies. Working to make these goals a reality, ExxonMobil Pipeline Company is leveraging its pipeline and logistical expertise to keep today’s energy products flowing while preparing to safely transport products that will empower Mississippi’s lower-carbon future.

Hear from Community Leaders

We want to provide our communities with educational resources to learn more about CO2 and the benefits of our pipeline network. We also work to help the first responders in our communities be prepared to manage CO2-specific hazards. That’s one reason why we sponsor the participation of local and regional emergency responders in programs such as the HazMat Liquid & CO2 Pipeline and Industrial Fire Emergency Response trainings with Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX).

How We Support Mississippi

Supporting the Mississippi Economy

Did you know that we pay property taxes on pipelines even though they are below ground? Our established work and new construction projects contribute direct investments that boost the economy and tax revenues that fund state and local services.

Supporting Mississippi Businesses

Mississippi businesses have benefitted from our established work and from our new projects through subcontracting service agreements and increased spending at local establishments -- restaurants, hotels, equipment rental operators and other suppliers and service providers will enjoy an economic boost during construction projects.

Workforce Training

With the oil and natural gas industry providing some of the most sought-after jobs for the region, ExxonMobil Pipeline Company is invested in preparing the next generation of workers. We are working with local universities and community colleges to ensure Mississippians can take advantage of the great opportunities the industry has to offer.

Committed to the Community

Our team strives to be a good neighbor and to support the communities where we operate -- after all, this is our home too.

Pipeline Facts and Resources

Pipelines are designed to meet stringent federal and state regulations covering pipeline material, construction and operations. Operators strive constantly to maintain safety and prevent incidents, and they also work with first responders to be prepared in the event one were to occur. Computer-aided pipeline monitoring can rapidly detect issues so pipeline operators can quickly shut down pumps and close valves to isolate segments, if necessary.
